SportsGamerShow - E3 Sports Video Game Predictions

E3 is the biggest video game trade show of the year and is often used as a place to showcase the latest titles.

With the event being a few weeks away, sports gamers are anxiously waiting for new information on some of their favorite titles and getting a first look at new games as well.

So what can gamers expect to see at this year’s E3? In this episode of SGS, I’ll give you my E3 sports video game predictions and take a stab at what I think will be announced at the event.

SportsGamerShow - Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 Review

With the Masters in full swing, it’s only fitting to review Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13.

The game comes with several new additions, including a new swing mechanic, online country clubs and Tiger Legacy Challenge mode.

Although most of the new features work well, inconsistent Kinect integration, DLC setup and bland presentation prevent Tiger Woods PGA Tour 13 from hitting a hole-in-one.

SportsGamerShow - MLB 2K12 Review

The MLB 2K series has been a huge disappointment over the past few years, with the last few iterations being pretty much the same bug-filled game with a few new tweaks.

2K Sports hoped to change that with MLB 2K12, claiming that the problems that plagued past games are now non-existent.

Although a few of these issues were addressed in MLB 2K12 and the game offers a number of solid new features, many glitches still exist and for the most part it’s the same game as last year.

SportsGamerShow - MLB 12: The Show Review

The MLB The Show series has recreated the real-life sport better than any other baseball video game in the marketplace today and Sony hopes to continue that trend with MLB 12: The Show

With new ball physics, updated controls, presentation tweaks and a new Diamond Dynasty mode, Sony put themselves in a position to reign supreme on the field once again.

After giving MLB 12: The Show an extensive play-through, you’ll soon realize that it plays a lot like last year’s game with the new bells and whistles adding a bit to the overall experience.

SportsGamerShow - SSX Review

SSX is back after seven years and its return was well worth the wait.

EA Sports was able to revive the series in a way that not only adds several fantastic new facets to the game, but also keeps the over-the-top, fast-paced gameplay the franchise is known for.

In this episode of SGS, I’ll provide an in-depth review of SSX and give my reasons why the game is a must-own title for any sports fan.

SportsGamerShow - Grand Slam Tennis 2 Review

EA Sports served up it’s first HD tennis video game this month with the release of Grand Slam Tennis 2.

The game has a few features that make it stand out in comparison to other tennis video games out today, including an innovative control scheme, Grand Slam Classics Mode and a mix of current and past tennis stars.

But is Grand Slam Tennis 2 worthy of being the top tennis video game out today? Watch the latest SGS episode to find out.

SportsGamerShow - Jeremy Lin Game Winner vs. Raptors According to NBA 2K12

I couldn’t help it. I had to do it. With Linsanity taking over the NBA over the past week, it’s only fitting for me to create an NBA 2K12 version of the biggest play of Jeremy Lin’s career.

With the game tied at 87, Lin hit a last second three point shot to give the New York Knicks the victory over the Toronto Raptors. It was the fifth straight win for the Knicks.

Here’s the final play according to NBA 2K12. Feel free to share the video and leave your thoughts in the comments!

On a related note, a new roster update was released today for NBA 2K12, boosting Lin’s overall rating from 69 to 75.

SportsGamerShow - UFC Undisputed 3 Review

After over a year in development, UFC Undisputed 3 is finally here and it’s well worth the wait.

THQ went all out this time around with this game, including over 150 fighters, fresh new modes, updated presentation and several gameplay tweaks.

Although there are a few issues with the submission system and online play, the sheer amount of updates make this game a must buy for UFC fans.
