Fight Night Champion Now Available as Digital Download

EA Sports is offering different modes of Fight Night Champion as digital downloads for PS3 users.

Dubbed Fight Night Champion Customizable, users can choose to download the game’s highly touted Champion Mode for $4.99, as well as Fight Now, Legacy Mode and Online Play at an additional cost.

Fight Night Champion was released in March to mostly positive reviews. Details on the new digital downloads can be found here.

Peter Moore Promoted to COO of EA

EA Sports President Peter Moore has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Electronic Arts.

His promotion is part of a number of changes announced today, including the expansion to four labels - EA Games, EA SPORTS, EA Play and BioWare.

Moore takes over for John Schappert, who left for Zynga earlier this year.

Major Update Coming to ESPN Xbox Live Channel

Gizmodo is reporting that the ESPN Xbox Live channel will be getting a huge upgrade on August 25.

One of the most significant changes is the ability to watch two games simultaneously in 720p HD and control them independently using a remote or Kinect voice controls.

The update will also include a new mini-guide that shows a strip of thumbnails with game info, as well as a live scoreboard that will run vertically down the right side of the screen.

Sports fans hoping to get more content with the update may be disappointed, as the ESPN Xbox Live channel will still only include footage from ESPN 3.

EA Sports has released a video trailer highlighting the most recent Fight Night Champion DLC pack released this month. This includes the heavyweight legends pack, alternate weight classes for some of the top boxers, bareknuckle boxing and Cowboys Stadium.

Floyd Mayweather Tells Gamers Not to Buy Fight Night Champion

Floyd Mayweather is all about getting paid, even when it comes to video games. In this short clip, he cites “money” as the reason why he’s not in Fight Night Champion and even urges gamers to not buy the game.

SportsGamerShow - Pacquiao/Hatton KO Immortalized in Fight Night Champion
